SkinfitMD is headed by Dr. Chih-ho Hong, a board certified dermatologist in both Canada and the US.
Dr. Hongs’ comprehensive knowledge of skin diseases and the anatomy, physiology and therapy of skin enables him to choose the best treatment programs for each and every one of his patients.
Dr. Hong was born and raised in British Columbia and attended medical school at the University of Toronto, graduating with honors, before returning to the University of British Columbia to complete a specialty residency in Dermatology. Dr. Hong also completed extra training at both Oregon Health Sciences University and the University of California San Francisco in subspecialty dermatology areas, including cosmetic and laser dermatology.
Dr. Hong has been board certified in Dermatology in Canada and the US for more than 20 years. Dr. Hong has extensive training and experience in all of the procedures offered at SkinfitMD, with excellent results. He is involved in almost every treatment, meeting with each patient and personally administering all injections for his patients.
Dr. Hong is recognized as a leader in dermatology both nationally and internationally. He has been an author on many peer reviewed scientific publications and routinely travels to conferences nationally and internationally to give lectures on topics in dermatology.
Dr. Hong is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UBC.
Dr. Dhadwal is a dermatologist at Guildford dermatology and SkinFit MD. Growing up in a small town in BC’s interior, Dr. Dhadwal spent his youth exploring BC’s rocky mountain parks. He completed his medical studies and specialty dermatology residency at UBC. Dr Dhadwal is passionate about medical education and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the UBC. He is also a staff dermatologist at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver and a visiting specialist at Whitehorse General Hospital.
Dr. Dhadwal is board certified in both Canada and the US. He also enjoys opportunities to collaborate with his colleagues around the world and works overseas as a Canadian royal college examiner as part of a collaboration with the Canadian Royal College and The Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations. He is also involved in research and has been an investigator on over 100 clinical trials. He has published numerous articles. Dr. Dhadwal’s goal as a dermatologist is to understand the needs of his patients and offer treatments and therapies based on both his expertise and the most up to date scientific and clinical data.

Our aestheticians assist with cosmetic consultations and perform chemical peels, IPL, Thermage, and other laser treatments. They can also help you select a skin care regiment that is tailored to your specific skin type and concerns.
The staff works closely with our dermatologists to ensure each patient receives the individual attention and follow up that are essential to achieving excellent results.
Sara
Lead Laser Technician & Treatment Co-ordinator
Sara’s expertise spans over 25 years, from when she received her first certifications as a fully qualified medical aesthetician. During her career she has worked in a range of medical offices assisting specialists, setting up, and managing cosmetic clinics. She continually upgrades her knowledge and expands her expertise in this field. She is also a fully certified laser technician for Fraxel, Thermage, Ultherapy, Tixel ,and several other laser platforms. Sara has been a valued part of the SkinFitMD team since 2007. She is a dedicated professional, who works closely with each patient to help achieve their skincare goals.
Sara and Dr. Hong have worked together as a team for more than 15 years, ensuring consistency and reliability.
What is a dermatologist?
Dermatologists are specialist physicians whom, after completing medical school, receive specialty training in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease and the maintenance of skin health, including cosmetic and laser procedures. Dermatologists in Canada have a minimum of 5 additional years of supervised training and are required to sit and pass a rigorous multiday oral and written examination before being allowed to use the specialty designation FRCPC (Fellow of the Royal College of Canada).
