Why we are not a “Medi-Spa”
Medical spas (or ‘medi-spas’) are “physician-directed” or “physician-supervised”. This usually means that a doctor is on site part-time and/or has other interests off site, such as a medical practice. Most medi-spas are run by general medical practitioners (GPs) or dentists, chiropractors, or naturopaths.
Our skin and laser clinic differs from a medical spa in that the business is run by a skin specialist (dermatologist) and the dermatologist is available at all times for any issues that might arise during your treatment. The dermatologists’ expertise and skills are behind every treatment at our skincare clinic.
One of the dermatologists, such as Dr. Hong, will personally administer all injection treatments.
In addition, SkinFitMD is a training center for other physicians and aesthetics professionals who wish to learn more about cosmetic treatments, lasers and the skin.
