Dr. Hong, along with our highly experienced team, are dedicated to delivering advanced injection techniques, laser therapy, device treatments, and skincare for a wide variety of skin concerns from acne and rosacea, to sun damage and aging.
We have also developed a loyal following with our multi-faceted approach to non-surgical, anti-aging procedures such as non-surgical face-lifting, Neuromodulators, Dermal fillers, IPL, Thermage laser skin tightening, Fraxel skin rejuvenation, Ultherapy, and Tixel.
Why we are not a “Medi-Spa”
Medical spas (or ‘medi-spas’) are “physician-directed” or “physician-supervised”. This usually means that a doctor is usually not on site. Most medi-spas are run by general medical practitioners (GPs), dentists, chiropractors, or naturopaths. Some of these clinics have no supervision at all.
Our skin and laser clinic differs from a medical spa in that SkinfitMD is part of a larger dermatology clinic, where all of the practitioners are board certified dermatologists, and a dermatologist is available at all times for any issues that might arise during your treatment. The dermatologists’ expertise and skills are behind every treatment at our skincare clinic.
All injection treatments (botox, filler, etc) will be administered by a dermatologist.
In addition, SkinfitMD is a training center for other physicians and aesthetics professionals, including dermatology residents who wish to learn more about cosmetic treatments, lasers and the skin. When you come to our Surrey-based laser skin clinic you can be confident that our team has the appropriate knowledge and training to assist you with your skincare concerns in a comprehensive, safe and successful manner.
